Cool Projects / Demos

Although I have a solid programming background, I cannot call myself a developer. More accurately, I am a hands-on, technical project manager. I love learning new technologies and trying them out myself. In this section, you will see some of my personal/fun projects. Hope they are inspiring!

A little green monster visiting my kitchen… 🙂 An Augmented Reality app on my phone; made with Unity and Vuforia.

This is one of my earlier projects. I created an Augmented Reality app via Unity and Vuforia. AR apps allow you to define and recognize objects in the real-world and overlay additional/alternative content on top of them when they are viewed through a mobile phone or tablet camera screen.

Sorry for the disorienting demo; it was late at night when I completed the project and I was just very excited about it. Basically, I’m showing my kids photo to my laptop’s camera and it recognizes the photo and overlays the video on top of the photo. I tried to capture that via my phone. This app works on my phone as well, and it’s like magic! 🙂
